The Evolution of CaetanoBus and its Zero-Emissions Products
About 5 years ago, CaetanoBus embarked on a transformative journey by becoming an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This was the beginning of its commitment to green mobility, and since then it has been focusing its efforts entirely on zero-emission city buses to reduce the environmental footprint of urban mobility.
The company’s journey towards zero-emission buses began with the launch of its first electric bus, the e.City Gold. This was followed by the introduction of the H2.City Gold, a hydrogen-powered city bus. Both buses are Toyota-branded and the H2.City Gold was a revolutionary and pioneering hydrogen bus that changed the market for zero-emission buses, making it a good alternative/complement to 100% electric buses.
In addition, and beyond city buses, CaetanoBus wants its vision of green mobility to reach other market segments by developing and producing zero-emission airport buses (electric and soon also hydrogen). For the future, the company is also excited about the launch of the H2.Coach, further expanding its zero-emission solutions now to the tourism segment.
CaetanoBus’ commitment to sustainability is not limited to its products. The company is also taking concrete steps to reduce its own carbon footprint throughout its entire value chain.
