Manuchar’s Sustainability Mission
Manuchar is committed to being a leader in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, particularly in emerging markets. Our global “We Care” sustainability program is built on four pillars: environmental protection, social responsibility, corporate governance, and responsible sourcing. This program underscores our commitment to legal and ethical standards, the promotion of human rights, responsible business practices, and community engagement, ensuring we operate sustainably and ethically in all our endeavors.
Our commitment to achieving Net-Zero Carbon by 2050 reflects our aspiration to build a sustainable future. By integrating environmental, social, and ethical principles into our business, we aim to directly improve the quality of life in the local communities we serve and enhance our long-term stakeholder value.
Our “We Care” program aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating our dedication to a sustainable and equitable world. We also adhere to the UN Global Compact, upholding standards in human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
The ManuCare Program
Access to quality education remains a significant challenge in many communities, especially in remote or underserved areas. The COVID-19 pandemic worsened this issue, with school closures and struggles in online learning. Barriers such as gender inequality, cultural differences, and language diversity further hinder education.
Currently, 258 million children and youth are out of school, and 775 million adults are illiterate. Through our ManuCare project (part of our larger We Care program), we aim to reduce these numbers by providing life-changing educational opportunities. ManuCare is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate through initiatives such as building or renovating schools, offering training programs, supplying essential school materials like school boards and laptops, and ensuring access to clean water and renewable energy.
Since its inception in 2021, the ManuCare program has made a significant difference in communities, positively impacting over 5,000 individuals so far. By focusing on these efforts, we contribute to reducing unemployment among young people and adults with minimal education, fostering a brighter future for the communities we serve.
Manuchar’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility is at the heart of our operations. Through our “We Care” program and ManuCare initiatives, we strive to make meaningful contributions to society and the environment, creating a sustainable and equitable world for current and future generations.
