A healthy work-life counterbalance is proven to improve employee productivity, efficiency, and mental health. However, it remains a challenge for many modern entrepreneurs, particularly those growing their businesses.
Achieving this balance is a priority for Cyberbacker’s founder and CEO, Craig Goodliffe. Witnessing his fellow entrepreneurs being overworked and underpaid inspired him to create a solution that helped them regain their work life balance and provided employment opportunities for hardworking individuals across the globe, particularly the Philippines. By pairing emerging international talent from one of the biggest English-speaking nations with growing businesses, Goodliffe allowed entrepreneurs to scale their ventures while creating meaningful jobs globally.
In today’s global economy, any role that doesn’t require a physical presence, licensing, or specific certification can be outsourced, enabling a global talent pool. Remote working has proven highly effective, and enhanced employee satisfaction. Studies show 91% have a positive view of it, 78% report a better work life balance and 31% see no downside. Another benefit is that it’s highly sustainable. Remote working reduces harmful travel emissions and requires less physical office space, reducing the businesses energy consumption. However, it’s worth noting that 48% of people find collaboration harder and 26% suffer from more distractions, so remote working has some drawbacks.
Cyberbacker’s services are available across the real estate sector and numerous other industries that require administrative task support. Tasks such as answering phones, managing social media, bookkeeping, and transaction processing are handled efficiently, enabling businesses to focus on growth. Cyberbacker’s use of digital collaboration tools also reduces reliance on physical resources like paper and storage, ensuring businesses can scale sustainably. However, storing data digitally relies on data centres and electronic devices which significantly contribute to CO2 emissions with the global data centre industry projected to emit 2.5 billion tonnes through 2030, which desperately needs to be addressed by that industry.
Goodliffe takes pride in creating jobs and finds this aspect of his work the most rewarding. He further supported his employees by implementing a profit-sharing system, ensuring they are cared for even into retirement.
Goodliffe himself has a Cyberbacker, Jen Caperowho is also the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Working remotely from the Philippines, Capero remains fully integrated into Goodliffe’s schedule via smartwatch connections. Capero’s efficient and entirely remote working relationship with Goodlife demonstrates the effectiveness of Cyberbacker’s virtual working system. Remote meetings also eliminate the need for travel, significantly reducing a company’s environmental impact. A study by Cornell University found that moving professional conferences online can reduce their carbon footprints by up to 94%.
Cyberbacker provided Capiro with the opportunity to secure her ideal job without relocating abroad. She agrees with Goodliffe and shares his passion for job creation and is invigorated witnessing others achieving their goals through Cyberbacker.
In the founder and CEO Craig Goodliffe’s own words: “When you care about people, you want to help them have what you have” and, “If you have something to share with this world, why not.” It is this philosophy that fuels Goodliffe’s innovative vision of a business future that is encapsulated in Cyberbacker.
