Johnson Controls Arabia is dedicated to addressing the environmental impact of buildings, which account for around 40% of global CO2 emissions. Through smart building systems that include HVAC, building controls, and OpenBlue technologies, JCA helps clients create safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environments. The YORK Manufacturing Complex: A Model for Localization and Global Impact
The YORK Manufacturing Complex, located in King Abdullah Economic City, is a hub for exports, with 30% of its production reaching 26 countries, including markets such as China and the USA. With the recent milestone of exporting 1,000 YORK Scroll Chillers to the U.S., this facility is poised to double its export percentage within three years.
Featuring 11 production lines, the complex produces high-quality HVAC systems, with 80% of JCA’s sales coming from locally manufactured products. This facility is one of only eight Net-Zero Centers within Johnson Controls globally, due to the commitment to sustainable production. By prioritizing local content and integrating Saudi Arabia into global supply chains, the YORK Manufacturing Complex strengthens the local economy, enhances the global reputation of Saudi-made goods, and supports not only local products but also local talent and suppliers.
Championing Sustainable Practices as a “Class A” Energy Services Company
Johnson Controls Arabia’s approach to sustainability has earned it recognition as one of Saudi Arabia’s first “Class A” Energy Services Companies (ESCO). This certification highlights our leadership in promoting energy efficiency and sustainable practices, particularly in critical sectors like data centers. With over 1,700 trained engineers and technicians across the MENA region, JCA ensures each solution is optimized for both environmental impact and cost-effectiveness, creating value for clients and contributing to a greener future.
